TCAF 2026 (6/6 & 6/7) and The Alice Journal Presentation/Workshop (6/7)

I am leaving for Toronto in 4 days! 🤯

I get anxious before every book event, trip, or anything outside of my comfort zone, so this isn't an exception. This time, though, The Alice Journal is debuting at a comic fair for the first time. It is always nerve-racking when debuting a new comic at a fair, wondering if it will be accepted, and it is not even a comic...a guided journal! And I AM going to give a presentation/workshop! Well, I should stop worrying about it right now 😅

Rather, I want to focus on my progress. I visited in 2022, 2024, so 2026 is my 3rd time exhibiting at TCAF.

TCAF 2024

I didn't know anything about TCAF when I applied for it. I was lucky to be accepted with only one comic, but I was so overwhelmed by the scale of the fair that I left my table to my partner and sat in the last row of programming. But I felt support from many people there. Maybe you are one of them.

I did much better the second time. I added two more comics to the table, and I didn't disappear!  I had a lot of fun.

I see that my comic-making skills, my use of colors, and my capacity to interact with strangers are expanding. And that's all I care about.
