The Pigeon of Los Angeles: The Story

I wanted to give you a sneak peek at my newest project. The short story version of The Pigeons of Los Angeles.

In 2020, I miraculously created my first comic, The Pigeons of Los Angeles (TPLA for short).

But I have to confess that I simplified the story I had in my mind for my first comic. My goal was to create a comic that encouraged poor pigeons (and humans) who were treated badly. The comic launched my comic career and, according to a Golden Apple store clerk, became a local bestseller. I also want to share the beautiful review Matt gave the book. I was moved.

The full story includes another element: challenging the status quo. 

Last year, I challenged myself to write the story. I added the part I left out and expanded the details of the original comic. After finishing it, I tried to find a publisher/agent. But I couldn't. I was disappointed and didn't know what to do next. That was when I was inspired to create The Alice Journal, which has been helpful to me  ☺️

The pigeon book is almost done. My always calm partner said he cried when I asked him to proofread it. That is something, and I want to share it with you all soon. I hope this story will give you some hope.
