Tools for Creativity

I bought a water-based marker set some years ago. At that time, I wanted to expand my artistic tools. I even took a marker course and bought a workbook for markers, but somehow I wasn't inspired. I didn't use the set of markers. They were left in the case they came with for a long time.

But I used them to color The Alice Journal! My cartoonish Alice allures me to be creative with colors. She put an idea in my mind, "What about the markers?" I didn't know she had such kind of power 😊

I started coloring this Alice with the markers from the case. I had to pull each marker out of its elastic band. I didn't care for my color choices for her skin and hair :/

I moved the markers to a shelf organizer and colored the second Alice. I could select the colors more easily. I got the colors I wanted. I believe the kind of case that you use for art supplies affects the outcome of the work.

I am enjoying coloring The Alice Journal. There are over 30 illustrations I can experiment with. Colored pencil and water-based markers work well. Next, I want to get a watercolor pan set and try it someday :)

Let's keep experimenting.
